Jan 31st, 2023: coming
Urban Planning
Dec 5th, 2022: Our guest speaker, Urban Planner Jason Valerius (MSA Professional Services), came to lead a lively discussion on all the things that make our community what it is. Scouts identified the types of buildings we have in our city, noticed things we take for granted like sewage treatment and streets, and considered changes to the environment when we develop rural land and populations shift. Ended the evening with some 'structural snacks!'
Treinen Farms Corn Maze
Oct 9th, 2021: It was the warmest Corn Maze in collective memory with temps at about 80 degrees and blazing sun; no hint of wind, rain, or snow from years past! Scouts exercised their fresh map skills navigating the corn maze in two groups: one scout-led, the other parent-assisted. Afterwards, free time around the farm kept everyone busy until a bonfire meal of a scout classic: hot dogs!
Maps Meeting
Sept 27th, 2021: Our second meeting Navigators used all their learning senses to discover maps! We started with a Land Acknowledgement for the Ho Chuck people who have lived on this land for generations before us.

First Meeting
Sept 20th, 2021: Our first meeting as Navigators! We had a strong showing with a healthy mix of youth in every crew: Stargazer, Mira, and Polaris. Our focus was on learning each other's names, learning the Moral Compass, doing team building activities, and learning the Navigators Motto: Stay on Course!
BONUS: Our Navigators got to do a little stargazing when Jupiter and Saturn rose in the southeastern sky!
Chapter 308 Kick Off!
Sept 12th, 2021: Our inaugural kick off as Navigators USA Chapter 308 was a hit! Many families gathered for hot dogs, s'mores, watermelon, ga-ga ball, and playground fun. New and old families enjoyed the reunion post-shutdown! Navigators crews, let's sail into this new year!
